How Much Do You Save From Year To Year

I am trying to sort through fall stuff. How much do you try and save from year to year and how much do you just plan on rebuying next year. Artifical flowers - 5 or 6 dollars worth... pitch or attempt to store? Any ideas. I need a room to store everything childcare but I just don't have it. Maybe someday...

I have 30qt size buckets. Whatever can fit in them stays...Anything that can't goes. If it is something I can't part with, then I have a misc bucket that is larger, about 60qt, but once that is filled I have to let something from it go...

I keep a folder of all of the fun stuff/ideas any papers.... I print out songs, books or videos I may have rented from the library and add it to this book.

That is the storage space I am dealing with. The filing cabinet takes care of papers and some craft stuff but, I hate throwing away stuff that "could be used again"

I save everything that can be reused. I don't want to spend my hard earned dollars on the same thing every year if I don't have to.

Same here. I really don't throw if it's something I use each year.

I have a HUGE storage problem here too. For my seasonal things I bought some of the clear totes that slide under your bed. They aren't the biggest ones that have wheels but they are big enough. And I did just that... stored them under my bed . Not ideal but it works. I have one for Winter, Fall, Halloween, Spring, summer and valentines day. Im also starting a generic one for year round things and bulletin board supplies

I used to just re buy things but like pp said I work to hard for that money

I have large bins I put stuff into (or at least I plan to ). My dh has been VERY VERY patient with me because HIS office has turned into MY daycare storage. I promise to move it into the bins and into the garage....as soon as I get other priority items off my to do list . One of these days....my home will be as organized as any top Pinterest contender. I have the ability, just no time!

If space is more important than a few extra dollars (which it sometimes is), give it away to the kids. My ds's pre-k teacher gave away stuff to the student of the week. Everyone got something, the kids love it, and you are at least not throwing it away.
