To tell the truth, I would tell them to leave and never darken my door again. I couldn't work with people I KNEW were making rude comments about me in front of the children I need to respect me.
    Yeah. This. ^^^^

I've got a dck that has not liked to wear hats or mittens in the 3 years I've had him. It was 40 out the other morning we went out and I should have expected that mom didn't bring him mittens (because she doesn't make him wear them). I luckily had my assistant here, so he was allowed to go out for only 5 minutes and then had to go back inside with the babies while his friends got to stay outside. I told him it was cuz he didn't have a hat and mittens. Funny the next day mom had him here with mittens and a brand new hat. He must have told mom he didn't get to play outside long.
Mom lets him get away without wearing that stuff, but when we're outside for 30 minutes, I don't. I gotta take care of him while he's here. I don't fall for the 'he won't wear it' routine. If he won't wear it, he doesn't get to play outside. Sometimes he cries a little but I don't want him getting frostbite or something.

YES! She got a text from me last night "Just a reminder that if dcb doesn't come tomorrow in a heavy winter coat, hat and gloves you will need to find alternate care until he has the necessary supplies." I got an "already got them" back... and he came today in a coat (walmart ones I linked her to, 2 weeks ago) new hat, gloves! The receipt was still in the bag with the hat & gloves (dcb had the coat on). It was from an hour after I sent her the text last night.

I pointed it out. I know, I'm petty, but I just couldn't resist. "dcm sorry if you had to make a special trip to the store last night. Here's your receipt in case you need it" (debit card) ::
