    Differing Personalities/Play Styles

I am down to 1 dcg, who will be 3 in January. She is a very sweet, quiet, introverted personality. My 4 yo dd is an extreme opposite. Spirited, extroverted, very active. Needless to say, they don't play well together. DD is too much for dcg. (Sometimes she is too much for me, too) Dcg prefers parallel play. She is completely happy by herself with toys. DD is into imaginative, interactive play. Everyday, one or the other is in tears because of their differences. I am trying my best to meet both girls' needs, but wanted to come to the experts here for advice and tips. Is there anything specific I can do to facilitate their playing together better?
