i find I get the most calls during late summer....or right around the new year. But thats never a sure thing. If you HAVE to have four kids to keep afloat financially, I would rather wait and put some money into savings. Its very risky to quit before knowing for sure who will start when and also, if they would work out and stay long term. You need to figure out a way to get a cushion financially otherwise you could be in a bad spot down the road.

Typically August is my busiest month.

I agree. I get the most calls and emails for children to enroll mid August when school starts back up. I lost 3 children to kindergarten this summer and had no problem filling those spots. Between the referrals, craigslist ad, and being registered, I was contacted by nearly 20 parents once I announced I had openings.

Most my calls come in late August and early each year as well.

I always get calls in April, for August. I always get teacher's kids, and they have the summer off. I hate having no income over the summer, but the teacher's kids make it worth while.
