What's Your Favorite Recipe For Homemade Playdoh

Any recommendations for homemade playdoh that will last a few months?

The recipe from the link below is my favorite. It is super fast and easy to make and it lasts. I made a red batch in July and it still has a nice feel to it. http://www.theimaginationtree.com/20...gh-recipe.html

cream of tartar- it can be found in the spices aisle at the grocery store

Here's my favorite no cook recipe-

        1 cup flour
        2 TBSP oil
        ½ cup salt
        1 cup boiling water
food coloring (or Kool Aid packet if you want color and scent)

        Directions:
        1. Mix flour and salt in bowl.
        2. Add oil, food coloring and boiling water.
        3. Stir with spoon until blended and cool to touch.
        4. Knead until color is consistent. Add a bit more flour if too sticky.
        5. Place in bag/air tight container for up to 2 months.

I usually mix the food coloring with the water for a more uniform color.

I doubled the recipe. It's really sticky. I keep adding flour and now it's getting hard. Any suggestions?
