    Infant/Toddler Area

For those of you that have one how big is it. I have a little one that just turned a year old and no longer takes a morning nap. He is now getting into things when my 3 older ones are painting or doing other art project also small manipulative are out of the question right now. The older kids need to have time to use these types of things so i need to make an area for him to play in during our preschool time. This is about 45 minutes in the am and 45 minutes in the pm. Any advise please it would be very helpful.

do you have a water table?

what about some bottles with caps? let the LO try to unscrew and put back on the caps. I use vitamin water bottles because the caps are big

scarves in water bottle so they can pull them out

scarves or cut up squares of felt in a baby wipe box for them to pull out

    you should google infant/toddler activities

Also empty boxes, kids of all ages love these.

I have a whole room. 9 ft X11 ft. It has a dutch door on it so I can close only the bottom half as a gate and close the whole door when my one toddler naps in there. I also have a mirror in the corner of the room so I can see EVERYTHING that goes on in there at ALL times.

I have 2 toddlers that spend time in there when I am doing activities with the older kids.

Here are some activities i have done with my toddlers and the older ones together.

But yeah it is hard to have infants, toddlers and preschool age doing something when everyone is awake!

I have a baby "yard" and when the little ones are at that awkward age I use it. Keeps them safe.
