Why Can't It Be Friday Today?

I've seriously never had such a rough integration with a new child. She is DRAINING me. The lungs on this child are INSANE. I even talked to mom about it and she knows. It makes ME want to cry. She wakes up all my other DCK during nap even though she's not even on the same floor. Nothing I do helps. During play times, if I even stand up - she screams. She doesn't have a regular scream either. She has that death scream. Heaven forbid I leave the playroom to walk into the kitchen to get something going - you would imagine I was beating her. Mom says she does the same thing at home.

I just got notice that one of my DCB is leaving at the end of September so there is no option of terming the screamer. I just pray it gets better.

    I need a vacation *sigh*

UGH. I feel your pain! I started a new 2.5DCB and he screams when I tell him no. Apparently this must work at home, but NOT HERE, SORRY. No means NO.
Now, he doesn't scream as much as what you are describing. I surely hope it gets better for you. It sounds like the screaming is working in her favor at home, otherwise, why would she do it? KWIM?
Perhaps you can tell her before you go away from her: "DCG, I'm going into the kitchen, right over there, and I will be back." And remind her that screaming is not allowed, and not nice.
