my son is a very picky eater....hes tiny...he's almost 5 and is not even 32 inches yet. He is only about 28lbs.

he is the child that hates carbs.... he refuses to eat almost any kind of bread product.... the kid will ask for steak and eggs for breakfast .... my husband is that way...

The child that I had eating issues with He would take 45min to eat a piece of toast if I let him or would not eat and then would be one hot mess. So i had to do this, which others may not agree with, but it was this or the kid went hungry.

I would pour a bowl of cheerios that was his to eat. Then I poured a bowl of trix with just about 8-9 in a bowl. I would show him and say do you want one??? Oh yes he did. I said ok, you have to take a bite of your cheerios and then you can have one. It worked.

Next time it was two bites of cheerios for one trix then 3, 4 and so on. I eventually did away with the trix.

Now we have no more issues. Kid knows that when its time to eat, its time to eat.....

but, what some of the kids that I have will do is, not eat anything for lunch and when I serve snack in the afternoon (usually crackers of some kind) they will hog the bowl and literally eat it all, so I started giving them individual bowls well they were stealing the other kids food too.
