Lost a ft kid today! :(

Mom of my favorite dcb (yes, I have a fav, but they don't know that!) was fired today. No notice. Dcd gave two weeks notice tonight. I'm so sad! I told them I can't hold the spot, and they might take my per diem/drop in spot if Mom has interviews, etc. I hate when this happens. You get all attached!

ugh darn that ****s..... I have had that happen twice....But I loved the family so much and knew what a burden it would be on them to have them pay me out for 30days that I let them out of their contract....they came back two months later and are still here. that was 2 years ago

I absolutely let them out of their contract (they are bringing him/gave me two weeks notice and are probably going to take my per diem spot so I will see him occassionally. He is just one of those kids(honestly, family too) that make this job soooo worth it, kwim? I have everything crossed Mom gets a new job asap and he can stay on ft!

Ugh, that is a drag. Hoping DCM gets a new job and things work out for them and you!
