Seriously? Another product recall because consumers can't read safety directions or use common sense....
Bummer too because the Bumbo chair is the ONLY piece of baby equipment I use.- Flag

It's called people who don't have common sense. Adding a strap to this isn't going to fix the problem, they will still wiggle out and fall over if they really want out. Case of overreacting. You only use this while they are little. When you see them starting to move more you stop using it, simple. I am still going to use my bumbo seat, love these things for the little ones.- Flag

I had to use one for my nephew one day when I was watching him. Hated the thing! I hated sitting on the floor while feeding him, worried that he would tip the thing over and he wanted to be up with the other kids. I also could not for the life of me get the little tray on it that you use when feeding them.
Another reason I don't take babies-I'm not equipped for them anymore! Each day is a fresh start

In my state it is illegal for licensed providers to use something that has been recalled.
I would check with your state regulations/rules before continued use. If you aren't regulated or licensed, I would make sure you notify parents you are using a recalled item just in case.
I am sure insurance wouldn't cover any accidents either. That is alot of liability to take on IMHO.- Flag

What would you do though if you didn't know it was recalled?
I probably don't know about 95% of the things they do recalls on.Each day is a fresh start

It hasn't been recalled. This term is being thrown around but it's not true. A recall means that the company is asking the consumers to send their products back or destroy them altogether and obtain a refund, etc.
The Bumbo company is simply asking consumers to stop using them and contact them for the retro-fitting parts .
Nothing is being thrown away, nothing is being sent back. Therefore there is no reason to stop using them.
If it is against the law for a licensed provider to use a recalled item, they can rest easy that this is not a recalled item.- Flag

amen. I thought the last recall was ridiculous... to put a label on it. Now they are really recalling them?? Grrrrr.... I love my bumbo seat, it has gone thru countless kids and I have no issues with it because I use some simple common sense and this crazy thing called SUPERVISION!!!!!- Flag

It includes recalls, safety warnings, even food threats.- Flag

to me, this is the stupidest chair ever. It literally screams "danger" if you need to feed you child why is it that they can't sit in a highchair that has straps and doesn't tip over or use a bouncy seat.- Flag

I have a bumbo but rarely have used it. It was nice when the babies are between 3/4 months til about 7 months when they need help sitting and just want to be off their back on the floor. I like that is doesn't have a belt because I can easiliy clean it. If I was required to get the belt I would just get rid of it since I rarely used it and now it's in storage. I never used it to feed a child, a highchair works wayyyyy better. LOL, hate sitting on the floor trying to feed a baby, I enjoy my adult chair.- Flag

I see where the confusion lays and I guess I would think the same way. I've always thought of a "Recall" as you send it back and you either get a new one or they fix the old one. The other option would be to destroy it.
With this one, they are just asking for you to install something that they will send to you. The scary part is what if you don't do it right? This to me isn't a recall but we are having some problems and will send you the part to fix it.Each day is a fresh start
