    Yikes... Please Drive Thru!

So I had an interview tonight... I probably went in with low expectations, and I guess that's a good thing in this case. They want 1-5:30 three days a week. When I mentioned 5:30 was the absolute latest... he said, oh... I'd have to request a shift change or leave 20 mins early to make it by 5:30. They also said she was a night owl, so she eats lunch at 2, and naps, "when she's sleepy". They want me to keep that schedule for her and not be forced into a routine. Also, they said no discipline is needed as she's a GREAT baby. Um, she's over there pulling on the dogs tail and ripping toys out of my son's hands at the moment? I asked if they redirect for unwanted behavior, and they said, no - she's very well behaved, she just likes to explore. They were here an hour and it started at 7... my kids usually go to bed at 7:30. She was cute though.

Time for a nanny! Hope you ran fast from that. No changing to your routine and no discipline? Hope you wished them lotsa luck on their way out the door!

Wow. That little one is going to be a terror! No re-direct, huh?! They just let their precious little sweetie torture animals and take toys from unsuspecting children. And no routine would also be a deal breaker. AND they could not pick up on time. I cannot imagine why you would pass this perfect family up...!!!!

I wonder what she will be like as a teenager.

I know almost immediate when I don't want to deal with a family... and I cut those interviews VERY short... like 10-15 minutes. My usual interviews run about 1-1.5 hours. How did you let them stay this long???

Why do people say they need care from 1-5:30 and they dont get out of work until 5:30?!?! Do they think they can just blink and wiggle their nose and show up at your door?
