I'm in New England. The sun in FL gives me a headache. I have to wear glasses and a hat when I visit.
! I am from VT originally, I moved here as a teen, the sun gave me headaches for a year. Yeah they are pretty much toys, but if they are only for outside, you should be fine allowing them. Kinda lame the parents didn't ask first though.

Its like the manufactures makes kids sunglasses out of the stuff that was rejected from adult glasses. Cloudy, no uva our uvb protection, just junk. Being in Florida, good sunglasses are important. I had to spend almost $40 on my sons sunglasses.
I agree. Most of the kids ones do look like junk. My daughter has some from Gymboree which say uva/uvb protection on the label and can take a little bit of abuse without breaking. Fortunately, we don't need them as much of the year as you do in Florida.
