Breathing A Happy Sigh Of Relief ~

I just contracted all of my families for the next school year. I am eliminating all of my difficult families, and kept only my reliable, pay-on-time, follow my rules families.

No more part timers, no more stay-at-home moms, no more sister-in-law. Only teachers who are as Type A as me. It is seriously like the dream team of child care families. I am over the moon happy! I can't wait for this year to end, so I can start fresh in September with all my awesome, respectful, fabulous families.

I really can't be happier! Well, unless I win the lottery and can just close down !

Yay! Bet it's a big burden off your shoulders and now you know you get to deal with all the good families - must feel fantastic!!

      Wonderful!

Are you filling in the spots left by the less reliable families?

It is so great to finally reach that point, isnt it? I like to find families that "match" somewhat my husband and I because I think then we will have a better match of expectations and such. This has absolutely worked for me. I am open to interviewing anybody and giving anybody a chance but the families that work for me best are married couples in a stable situation, steady income and consistent schedule, middle class. I take only one part timer at a time (because they are so challenging), no stay at home moms (they rarely value my time and are not reliable for scheduling), no relatives/friends/neighbors.

That's great! I love having something positive to look forward to when I'm going through a tough time! I'll be losing 2 of my toughest kids at the end of the summer. I'm looking forward to the peace and quiet that should bring. happyface

No, I just picked up a sibling of one of my good full time families, and I eliminated my pieced together parts (the Tues/Thurs and the Mon/Wed/Fri people). I am also getting rid of my assistant, and going down to just 5 kids plus my own toddler. It works out the same financially, and there is so much less stress. It should be amazing! I am soooooo happy about it!!!!!

              Yeah for you happyfacehappyfacehappyface

I'm also trying to do this myself, I have only been at this for four months now. But reading thorough all the threads on here; and remembering WHY I decided to do this (was time w/my family) I'm ready for people who gets it!

Yes I am a home child care provider, but I still have a life of my own!
I love your kids...but love mine more!

              Good Job!
