    Let's Talk Insurance

Hi everyone! I am brand new to the forum, and opening a child care center in August of 2012. My partner and I are very excited about our direction and are interested in how those of you who are running centers outside your homes are handling the insurance. How do you know what liability to ask for? What is the average premium? We will start with twenty children. I have no idea how to create a budget without knowing about the insurance, but most places I call won't quote till we can tell them more! Nice to meet you all, and we hope to learn a lot from you all and hopefully contribute as well!

I do care in my home and I have a 2 million liability policy on my house and van. It ups my monthly payments $10 a month.

I think you can call your insurance company if you have one and just ask them.

I forgot to add that my insurance company insures me based on how many kids I have, what my gross income for the past year is,and how big my space is.

Welcome BTW!! Hope you find this group helpful and amusing
