    My First Fieldtrip! :)

Today I only had 3 children for the morning, plus my homeschooled son. So, we took a spontaneous field trip to the Necedah Wildlife Refuge.

I put my 2 toddlers on their new harnesses, and they did so well! They really enjoyed it, too. We just went into the refuge headquarters building, and they have a bunch of animals on display and cool things to touch. The staff was swell (we were the only ones there, and I came in with TWINS...).

After a long winter of being stuck inside too much (and this was a mild winter), and dealing with a lot of behavioral stuff (which has really improved), I finally get to have some fun!happyfacehappyface

Afterwards, we stopped by my husbands car dealership (yes, I'm married to a used car salesman), and he brought us out some freshly baked cookies.

      CG-

I didn't know until early this morning that I had a small group, so I didn't call you. If I can plan ahead a little next time, I will call you. I thought this would be right up your alley!

I also brought home the "bear trunk", maybe you could come explore that with us sometime later this week? Thursday am, perhaps?

Sounds like you all had fun! I love impromtu trips and activites! Bet your DH was happy to see you all too!

He could have given the kids a tour of the dealership and called it an educational experience, heck he could have even handed out business cards and maybe one of your parents could be his next sale! (I am ALWAYS in business mode so I feel like I am always trying to take every opportunity and make it a sales pitch. )

Doubly cool that you and Countrygal are close enough to do things together! happyface
