How Warm Do You Keep Your House?

My regs say between 65-75. In the summer sometimes I like to keep it warmer, around 78 so it's not such a shock when we come in from the heat outside. But in the winter I have it programmed to be up around 69 during the busy coming and going times (when the door is open a lot) and then down around 67 during the rest of the day.- Flag

Mine is set at 67 for daytime and 64 at night. My husband hates it...he would love if it was 90 in here.In summer I try to keep the air between 80 and 82 degrees just cuz I don't want to pay a high electric bill. The second I need to move though, I edge it down to 78 or 79.
My husband would not even put the air on in the summer...he wants to move somewhere hot, like Arizona. I tell him, "alone???!!!!" :

67 degrees and my house is 100 yrs old and i live in cold ontario. If I put it up to 68 degrees I find it too hot, turn it down a notch its too cold.- Flag

Wow. I must really get cold too easily! Mine is set for 72 during the winter. We have an old house but had it energy efficiency redone so the bill never goes over $200. I even get cold in the afternoons when it's 72!
In the summer, it's set for 75. Maybe I'd be more conservative with my heat and cooling if it cost me more money, but I'm lucky to have it not affect it that much so I keep it where I like it.- Flag

66-72 depending on whether the attic vent fans are on or not.
Humidity is more of an issue here...- Unless otherwise stated, all my posts are personal opinion and worth what you paid for them.- Flag

I was keeping it at 72, but then was hit with a gas bill ov $225. I dropped it to 68, and my bill this past month was 200. Totally confused about that... probably a rate increase.
The kids are so active though that 68 seems to be the right temp for my house.- Flag
