    Certain Temp. For No Coats?

When the kids came today it was 40 degrees, so they came with heavy coats. It's now around 60. I'm ok in a light coat but I'm usually cold. With all of their running around this morning, some of their cheeks were rosy red from getting hot (and it was around 55).

Is there a certain temp you allow them to take off their coats? Tomorrow is supposed to be 65 and I'm thinking that's fine as long as they have a long sleeve shirt on. I have all 3-5 yos

I let a child tell me if they are hot or cold. I don't know how they feel. I don't deny their feelings..

I am a very cold person, could be that I need more fat on my bones....

I require that they bring their jacket outside and hang it on the fence and if they need it, they will always tell me.

Yep, they can decide for themselves. They need to put it on to begin with, and then hang it (on the fence here too) if they get too warm.

Of course, someone will always take theirs off, then whine "IIIIIMMM COOOLD"

then duh...put your coat on!

We've had two days this week that we went outside in full snowgear and by the time we came in they were all in snowpants (for the wet), boots and long sleeved shirts. I'd stripped off hats, mitts, jackets and hoodies.

I just go by how warm I am and how active they are.
