    Daycare and Booster Seats

The thread about buying a car for daycare got me to thinking about my issue with booster seats.

Right now I have a 2011 Toyota Sienna. The 3rd row has 3 carseats in it and they fit just fine. Perfect actually. Well I also have an infant carseat in the 2rd row but it's a different brand (can't remember what it is right now). I need help finding 2 booster seats that will fit in that same row but so far I've tried 3 different types (my friends/families booster seats) but they just won't fit.

A friend suggested moving the Brittax seats into the 2nd row and fitting the booster seats into the 3rd row but I pick up and drop off my DD and sometimes another DCG from school and it's easier for me to pull up to the drop-off curb at the school and push the nifty little automatic door opener button and have her jump-in/out without having to get out etc.

If I move the carseats into the 2rd row (or 2 of them anyway) and put the booster seats in the 3rd row then I can't slide the 2nd row seat forward and backwards so that my DD can hop into her seat much less have enough room for me to squeeze myself back there to buckle the toddler in that Brittax carseat in the 3rd row (yes all 4 carseats always have kids in them).

Do any of you ladies that do SA's pick-up/drop-off and use booster seats? Any recommendations for booster seats that will fit next to my other carseat in the 2nd row?

Right now I have the 3 Brittax carseats in the 3rd row, an infant seat and one booster seat in the 2nd row and on the days that I pick up both my DD and DCG from school, one sits in the booster seat in the 2nd row and my DD sits in a booster seat in the front passenger seat. Some days I also pick up my 10yo nephew and he'll sit in the 2nd row between the carseat and the booster. I'd rather have both girls in the 2nd row and have my 10yo nephew sit in the front. Any suggestions?

Sorry no. I had the same problem. I gave up and got a 12 pass. van. I love it. I will never go back to a smaller van while I'm doing childcare.

Grrr, that's what I figured . I only need to fit 2 booster seats so maybe I'll just have to dish out an extra $230 for another Decathlon to make more room for the booster seats. Either that or keep doing what I'm doing.
