Better yet, it's his OWN property.
We don't have sidewalks in our neighborhood so the kids are in the street in front of the yards. I do ask my son to step back a few feet onto the neighbor's yard when the bus is approaching if there is snow or ice on the road in case the bus slips while stopping.
But playing in someone's yard when waiting for the bus? I don't think so. We have it timed so that he barely gets there in time for the bus.
Sounds like the parents are having a coffee clutch out there. They shouldn't be out there more than 10 minutes.
