She Reserved The Infant Spot. So Now. . . .

Im trying to imagine the new routine. I have a dedicated daycare space downstairs like many of you. But lately i have been able to come upstairs for lunch and snack time however that will all change with the new infant. We will be getting a small fridge and microvave and stay downstairs all day I dont have a "kitchen sink" though.

I know i can use a large plastic container and place dirty dishes in it to take upstairs later, but what do you do for the infants who are on bottles five times a day? Do i just have five bottles ready to go instead of washing and reusing the same bottle? Also, for those of you who have this arrangement have you had any issues with your inspector? When i mentioned this idea to mine she seemed to frown upon it saying " well it would seem too much like a center"

I do. I also have three cups each ready for the others before opening... one milk, one juice and one water in a fridge in the daycare room.

When she says it would be too much like a center say "Thanks!! I AM very organized!! I like order so I can enjoy my time with the little guys more." happyface
    - Unless otherwise stated, all my posts are personal opinion and worth what you paid for them.

I'm trying to imagine a routine before I schedule the interview. Got a call yesterday for a 6 week old to start the beginning of February, which would be right after my maternity leave. I have 4 fairly easy toddlers, and am trying to imagine 2 newborns in the mix.

I wish I had a basement area to dedicate to daycare. Mine is all on our main level. You are lucky!

The point in CA is to not make it look like a center, but a home. Anyway, that is what was said at my last orientation.

As for the bottles, I always made up the day's worth of bottles in the morning. That way I could just grab one out of the fridge and heat it up, rather than take the time to mix up the bottle.

          Thanks Catherder....I like your answer.

@ Sharlan....so would you guess that at inspection she may have me move everything upstairs? Because I can't have both upstairs and downstairs, it has to be either/ or. I would much rather have it downstairs.
