I am redoing my daycare room. I want to get rid of all the plastic battery operated toys and fill my shelves with learning trays. I know I read on here before about learning trays and what everyone put on them but when I searched nothing came up even close. So if anyone remembers and can direct me to the old message boards and links or just give me ideas on what to put on my trays I would really appreciate the help. I have ages 2-5.

Are you referring to Tot Trays? I just had a brainstorm about them this morning and did a little googling during snack time. Do a search for "tot trays" and you'll find all sorts of ideas.
My kids are little (2.5 and under), but I do have them sit at the table and do activities on trays. I was trying to think of a way to store them so that they're ready to go for rainy days or when the kids are going squirrelly (like they were today). I was thinking of picking up some plastic shoe boxes from the Dollar store and putting each activity in one. That way I could put the lids back on and store them in my supply cupboard ready to go for the next time.
Today I had lacing, beading, pom poms & tongs, and two mini sensory bins going at the table. Every 3 minutes or so, I had them pass their activity to the child on their right. That way they didn't get bored or jealous of what everyone else was doing.- Flag
