So I read this thread and had to go look at our local CL section and this is the first one that came up. It has pictures but I didn't copy them. All I can say is this for real??
Hi! I'm getting a puppy in early December, and he/she will be about 5-8 pounds at 8 weeks old. Everything I read online says socializing a puppy to people of all ages and situations is very important. It's really important to me to have a well socialized, loving, and secure dog. I don't know many kids.. I only have one nephew that lives locally, my other niece and nephew are on Long Island. It's going to hard for me to find people to meet my puppy, especially with it being winter.
I had a, hopefully great, idea to offer my little puppy as a guest for a hour or so. It benefits my puppy as she/he will get the vital socializing she needs.. and I think it could be a lot of fun for kids! As said my puppy is going to be very small so I ask that the kids be well behaved and won't be very noisy and rush the puppy the second they see her. They'll need to be calm, at least at first, and let her check them out. Hope you understand! Also, I am getting my puppy from a breeder, and the breed itself has no bad rep and is VERY kid friendly. The puppy will be a little older than 8 weeks at the time. Like any 'baby' he/she will be on the fragile side and I'd prefer no one but adults picked her up. Sitting on laps is fine! She will be very playful, I'm sure, and love playing and being pet and given treats (which I'll bring with me).
I think it's probably best for both parties the majority of the kids be 3 and a half+. If you have younger kids, please feel free to e-mail me but I'm not 100% on that yet. I also will ask that the parents of each child gives consent before I bring my puppy there.
This may sound somewhat strange, but I think it'll be great for everyone! It's basically free entertainment for the kids, haha!
Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions. If you're interested in having us, please include how many kids and the ages of each. The earliest I'm getting my puppy is during the first full week in December. You must be willing to have the puppy inside your home/establishment as they will only be able to be outside ~10 minutes at a time in cold weather.

OP, I have a photograph permission form that includes advertising. I have one great family that I've had for over a year that gave me permission to use their kids' pics to advertise. I put a cute one of them along with my 2 kiddos in crazy hats as my logo. In addition, I've used pics of them playing the piano, doing art projects, and baking. Faces are included, but again, I have permission. So it can be done, properly.
Reading all of these crazy ads with borderline illegal scenarios is just scary. Some people just have no sense.
