Pet's and Food?

Hey there!! I'm thinking of opening inhome center next year. I have 4 kitties who are all up to date on shots and they're the most social babies ever. However.
their fur gives me so much anxiety when I think about prepping food for little ones. My kitties are allowed everywhere, and I always wipe counters before I cook, but they always manage to jump up during cooking and I have to take them down. 2 kittens are training and the other 2 know better.
For myself, I know I don't eat off the counters and they don't touch food or food-contact things, but kitties on the counter would, im sure, make some parents queezy. What do I do? I have a catio that I can banish them to while I cook, if disinfecting counters before I start any food work is okay and enough(they'll more than likely get on the counters throughout the day)

You didn’t mention what state you are in. Your state’s licensing standards may have guidelines on pets.

Check you stare regulations.

I have a cat but don't have the same issues with fur as you do. I would use the catio as much as possible or try putting them into a room, as much as you can.

You can also alter your menu, so you are not in the kitchen as long, like making crockpot meals or cold lunches, frezzer meals...prepping all the meals in the morning.
