Recipe Organization

I need ideas on organizing my recipes. I have a recipe box of recipes and also 3 or 4 different computer files with random recipes. I would like ideas on how to condense the recipes or how you organizing your collection. I would like to be able to look at a list to see what recipes I have rathr than go through the entire collection to find what I want.

I would check out the tabs on a Betty Crocker cookbook for example and steal how they organize their recipes. Pork, Poultry, Beef, Breads, Sauces and Toppings etc etc.

I have one of those blank cookbooks and add the recipes that my family uses most often for a quick way to keep favorites.
