Congress has just released the new Food Program reimbursements rates effective July 1, 2011 - June 30, 2012:
$1.24 breakfast
$2.32 lunch/supper
$.69 snack
This represents a 4.4% increase over last year.
Claiming food expenses
All providers, whether licensed or not, can use these rates (as the standard meal allowance rate) to claim food expenses for 2012.
The standard meal allowance rate for 2011 is $1.19 breakfast, $2.22 lunch, and $.66 snack.
