    Standard Meal allowance and taxes..

I have a question about doing your own taxes and deducting the standard meal allowance. I started working on mine today, and was putting the amount of the meal allowance total ($3267) into the Business Income- Meals and Entertainment section. Then when it takes me to my summary, it shows that the total claimed is $1633, which is including a 50% deductible. Is this correct? Or should I be able to claim the full $3267? And am I claiming it in the correct spot?

    Thanks!

    Standard Meal Allowance

Don't put your food expenses on the meals and entertainment line of Schedule C. Meals and entertainment are when you take a day care parent out for dinner or if you spend overnight at a day care conference. Put your food expenses under Other Expenses on the back of Schedule C.

The amount for your food expenses for the childrens food should not go in meals and entertainment. You have to enter it on the lines on the back of schedule C. Such as Food (Tier II provider) - if on food program.
The meals and entertainment line I think is for meals for you have when at things like trainings conferences etc. Don't put anything for entertainment for the kids there either, that should go on the back as well listed as activities.
