    Depreciation Form Delayed?

I was informed by a tax person(doesn't do dc taxes) that the form used to depreciate something over a number of years won't be out until late February.

Is this true? Anybody else heard of this?

I've got my tax stuff ready to drop off with the tax preparer because I want enough time if I missed something or she has questions. I also had a fence installed this year which, if I understand correctly, has to be depreciated over a number of years.

    Thanks!

I also had my taxes prepared yesterday and we are not able to turn it in for at least a week, but most likely later. We don't even know what the refund will be until the forms are released. First, the IRS extended early submittals from 1/22/12 to 1/30/12. Second, they delayed the release of many essential forms. From what I understand, the IRS was delayed in completing their forms because of the late decisions regarding the fiscal cliff and AMT. Some states may also delay the tax refunds like last year, depending on their financial situations.

It's definitely frustrating! We are relying on our tax return to be able to afford a family trip to Disney in late April. I am hoping we get our tax return in time to find a good deal on the hotel and tickets! We don't want to take the trip during the busy season!
